The United Arab Emirates Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) warned against using the Watsab Gold app on mobile phones and social networking sites.
"Pay attention to Wattab Gold and other third-party applications that claim to have unique features, these are dangerous apps that threaten your privacy," the agency said via its Twitter account.
Wattab Gold is a standard application of the well-known Wattasab messaging application, which has many missing features in the original application, such as running two numbers on the phone, l? video recording and other features, but experts have warned of malicious programs threatening privacy.
