Emirati, Gulf and Arab poetry has lost one of the greatest poets of the United Arab Emirates: Aousha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi, known as the "Arab Girl", is a pioneer of Nabataean poetry and a poetic stage of Nabataean poetry.
