Ubisoft just made many changes to Division 2

Players of Division 2 has received a new final-phase mission called Tidal Basin, which extends the game's story today, but this only fits into a series of changes included in the game's first big patch. The developers reorganized two the most controversial systems of the game – skill mods and weapon mods – and, as it is written in the patch notes, the "Operation Base Staff will now shout at the player less often than before".

The changes that hit this morning have exceeded 5 GB on my PS4. A complete list of release notes was put online about an hour ago, after a day of playing with the players. Here in the office I was only able to play in about half an hour, but here's what came out.

The skill mods now seem more useful. These mods are small gadgets that players can attach to their drones, turrets or other special gadgets. The problem is that since its launch, the mods usage requirements were far too high for the benefits offered. The ability of a modiste will only be available if your character has a fairly high skill score, based on backpacks, knee pads and other equipment. The mods never seemed to be worth it, so Division 2The developers redid the calculation. At first glance, the mods I have now have lower skill score requirements and seem more useful.


The mods of arms are simpler. A lot of Division 2 is to collect and use better weapons. These weapons can be modified with silencers, extended ammunition clips and other mods, all of which had some notable advantages and disadvantages. You could add a mod that would make your shot more accurate, but also make it less stable. You could reduce your reload time if you were willing to sacrifice the number of bullets a weapon clip could hold. Concessions frustrated some players, so they were changed. The weapon mods now offer mostly positive, although smaller ones. There are also some who have small negatives, but these are offset by larger positives.


The less visible Ambusher faction shows itself more. ("The new Ambusher NPCs now roam the streets of DC", as indicated in the patch notes.) This is something I immediately saw in my quick recording with the game. On the way to a point I met some of these guys, all dressed in black, swinging axes and brandishing bows.


Figures close to your speed index are easier to read. Numbered red, blue, and yellow icons that represent the number of pieces of gear you wear, including offensive power, defensive, and skill upgrades, respectively, are now collapsed in a row below your score. 'equipment. They used to appear on the circle around your equipment score as moons around a planet. This made them difficult to read, which was a problem since these numbers indicate if any of the special abilities of your armor or weapons are active. The new view is easier to read.


The refurbished sniper turret seems worth using. I never used the old version of the sniper turret. I suppose many other people do not have it as well because they have changed it. Now he automatically points to the enemy you are aiming for and tries to shoot him. If you do not target a target, it finds one nearby and waits for you to press a button to trigger it. It's like having a friend in the game, for those of us who do not play with friends. Useful!

There are new clothes … and it's still a little ugly. Is it me or are the outfits in Division 2 largely a disappointment? Today's update coincides with the launch of a "garment event," which encourages gamers to continue playing to win random clothing boxes. The proposed clothing is all based on the clothing of the three original enemy factions of the game. Unfortunately, these factions wear ugly clothes.
