DENVER – UCHealth is preparing to host a mass immunization event on Sunday at Coors Field.
Mass vaccination is an event for people 70 years of age or older. The event is only open to those who have pre-registered and have been approved for a date.
The goal is to vaccinate around 1,000 people during the event.
UCHealth officials said the site would be open from 8 a.m. to noon, with a break between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
UCHealth plans to use this event as a template for possible future mass vaccination events.
If the event goes well, UCHealth plans to hold another mass vaccination event on January 30 and 31. The goal of this weekend will be to vaccinate 10,000 people.
