March 22 (Reuters) – Jorge Salcedo, head coach of men's football at the University of California at Los Angeles, is among the accused of the largest admissions fraud scheme ever uncovered in the United States. New York Post.
Salcedo was one of nine current or former college coaches, as well as an associate sports director, who were indicted by federal prosecutors in Boston on March 12 in connection with the fraudulent scheme that attracted the National attention.
According to court documents, Salcedo was among the school officials accused of accepting bribes in exchange for nominating candidates for admission as athletes recruited in order to to increase their chances of being accepted into elite universities.
