The 2020-21 NBA season is set to begin in late December, but some players aren’t happy to be back on hardwood so early.
One of those players is Miami Heat big man Udonis Haslem, who lamented last season’s quick turnaround.
Since the Heat reached the NBA Finals last season, they’ll only have about a month and a half between the end of the championship series and the start of training camp.
Some experts have said it could lead to more injuries than usual due to the lack of recovery time.
However, Haslem didn’t play much in the 2019-20 season, appearing in just four regular season games.
He barely played a minute in the playoffs, but he was a valuable presence for the team as a veteran leader.
At one point during the Eastern Conference final, he turned on his teammates for a timeout, almost like he was an assistant coach.
