Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is preparing to return to the pay-per-view (PPV) market on Saturday (February 13, 2021), to feature UFC 258, which will feature a very intriguing welterweight title fight between the division champion Kamaru Usman and his American Top Team (ATT) training partner Gilbert Burns.
It’s a match between two of the world’s best fighters at 170 pounds, one looking to taste UFC gold for the first time while the other looks to add to his ever-impressive resume by scoring his third title defense.
While the two have been friends and have nothing but mutual admiration for each other, they find themselves locked together in the Octagon, it will be a matter of personal feelings put aside. And that’s the theme of the latest promo video in the promotion for hype the card – which airs exclusively on ESPN + PPV – inside UFC APEX.
Usman (17-1, 12-0 UFC) hasn’t tasted defeat in seven years and is quickly becoming one of the most dominant welterweights to ever set foot in the eight-sided cage. As for Burns, his meteoric rise began in 2017, winning eight of nine including his last six in a row during that time.
In the sequel, Kelvin Gastelum will take on hitting Ian Heinisch in a middleweight affair, while Maycee Barber returns from injury to face Mexican-born sensation Alexa Grasso.
