A roster of stars lead the final Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Pay Per View (PPV) when three undisputed champions put their titles on the line this Saturday night (March 6, 2021) at UFC Apex in Las Vegas , Nevada.
UFC 259 main event sees Israel Adesanya attempt to become the promotion’s latest ‘two-time champion’ at the expense of light heavyweight kingpin Jan Blachowicz, while co-feature pits female GOAT Amanda Nunes to the dangerous kickboxer Megan Anderson. Additionally, Petr Yan puts his bantamweight belt on the line against Aljamain Sterling in what could be the most compelling game of 2021 to date.
It’s an assortment of entertainment and – if you know where to look – an opportunity to make money. Let’s go dig …
What went wrong UFC Vegas 20?
A really fun self-analysis is to determine if I overestimated a failed choice or if I underestimated their opponent. This time around was definitely the last – Thiago Moises’ strike looked better than normal, especially on the back foot, and Pedro Munhoz impressed with his ability to kick the calf against an elite striker. Fortunately, Ronnie Lawrence, Dustin Jacoby, Magomed Ankalaev and Ciryl Gane were there to secure a small profit, although some were less entertaining than others.

Thoughts: If they want to give us so many fights to choose from, we might as well take advantage of it. Rogerio Bontorin, Jordan Espinosa, Carlos Ulberg and Sean Brady all look like quality investments.
While I love Kai Kara-France, he has had his fair share of grappling issues despite an extraordinary 90% defense. Bontorin – although less pathologically aggressive than Brandon Royval – can certainly put pressure on Kara-France and exploit his tendency to load up on hay. He also looked strong against another strong display and brawler from Raulian Paiva, so he’s worth a slight underdog investment (at least).
Espinosa is a bit more skillful than his lackluster Octagon record would suggest, and his striking matador style looks like a major headache for Tim Elliott. Elliott will have great difficulty trying to take Espinosa down and grapple with it, especially since the latter has some solid wrestling chops on his own.
Indeed, even with his penchant for self-destruction, Espinosa is too tempting to pass up.
There are very few active light heavyweights who could hang out with Carlos Ulberg in a pure standing match … and Kennedy Nzechukwu is not one of them. Without any sort of withdrawal threat with which to end Ulberg’s attack, Nzechukwu kickboxed in four-ounce gloves against a much more polite and powerful attacker. This is not exactly the recipe for success.
Brady has passed every UFC test so far with flying colors, including a man from Ismail Naurdiev who I really thought would give him problems. As impressive as Jake Matthews’ current 6-1 run is, he had to rely heavily on his wrestling, which doesn’t seem to work against a grappler like Brady. Plus, Brady is at least his equal on the feet, so I’m confident to recommend a bet on him.

Thoughts: My criticism: No one without a top-flight attack will beat Israel Adesanya in the UFC. Blachowicz is almost certainly going to give Adesanya the battle he wants, and given the Pole’s continued reliance on the types of punching blitzes that the counter-savvy “Stylebender” enjoys, it will end extremely badly for him. I absolutely expect Adesanya to leave the Octagon with two belts around her waist on Saturday, so make sure you’re able to enjoy it.
