Ciryl Gane won the interim UFC heavyweight championship at UFC 265 without scratching his face.
Gane topped Derrick Lewis from bell to bell, shattering the knockout heavyweight leader from a distance before finishing at 4:11 of the third round.
Gane will now face the undisputed heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, whose request for a one-month postponement led to the decision to set up an interim title.
Seeing hometown favorite Lewis lose, the Toyota Center crowd was much happier that UFC 265 co-star Jose Aldo took the win in a masterful performance against Pedro Munhoz.
