UFC Fight Night: Randamie vs. Ladd – Fighting

[ad_1]

I have not written any for a very long time. It feels good to return to this subject, because I wrote this post regularly a few years ago. The UFC Sacramento is in the books, and frankly, it's been bad until the last three fights. It was really hard and I referred to it as the worst UFC event of 2019 so far. But all you need is some stellar KOs (one of them controversial, which I will tackle) to spice things up and upset my eyes.

Anyone who has read this before understands what is happening here. I will take the main affected card fighters and match them to the results of their UFC Sacramento fights. Some did not fit the expected results, so the people I had in mind already got into the dust as soon as their right hand landed. But at a moment of reflection, here is what I found. Let's go.

Germaine de Randamie – With such a controversial finish, the UFC could decide to send it back. Herb Dean had a terrible call, and Ladd was still totally comfortable all the time. Nevertheless, in major events like this one, even in case of controversy, the UFC just seems to stay in place and move on. So, there is really only one option for the RDA: Amanda Nunes. The promotion is obviously a bit cautious about its title potential, given the evolution of the situation when it was champion of the 145. But there is no one else in the queue and if Nunes defends herself in the 135 days, GDR should be the person in front of her.

Aspen Ladd – As mentioned, they could make a revenge. Ladd deserves one. But I really think Ladd needs to go to 145. She was obviously suffering to gain weight, and even if that was the case, it was uncomfortable to see. She would be much better at 145 and she brings a unique game to this weight class. It is currently sterile and barren land without fighters, but the good thing is that it would be an immediate candidate. Give him Megan Anderson. Build this damn division already.

Urijah Faber – I'm not going to lie, I was shocked that Faber put Simon on the ground like that, and that quickly. I know I'm not alone in this situation. To ask Henry Cejudo is cautious, but that does not happen, especially with the list of contenders in front of him and the fact that Cejudo has been away for a while. So who could be next? The fight I continue to watch is Dominick Cruz. Of course, they buried the hatchet and they are cool, but it's a major fight and it does not kill another prospect if Faber returns to first place. I thought Petr Yan at first, but Cruz-Faber is the way to go if Cruz is not absent before nine years.

Ricky Simon – It was a horrible loss for Simon who will delay him. Normally, losing to a guy of Urijah Faber's caliber simply means climbing up the ladder for a minute. But it was a return from the Faber retreat. This is not the same thing. If they want him to continue fighting against classified men, a fight with Song Yadong makes sense. If not, I would like to see him fight Thomas Almeida.

Josh Emmett – Huge victory in his adopted city. If Emmett wants a quick turnaround and he does not suffer, he is the ideal candidate to fight Yair Rodriguez at the UFC Mexico City main event in September.

Mirsad Bektic – Like Simon, it was a big setback. Whenever he goes up in rank, he is put to the ground. I would say that a fight with Ricardo Lamas is good for his next outing. Let's see who deserves to be on the leaderboard board.

Karl Roberson "It's certainly not the way people expected him to win, but he did. His caution at the end of the fight was a bit unsettling and could have cost him a decision. That was not the case, so we are here Honestly, I do not think it is about to turn on the division or anything, and it should not get any better. an opponent ranked a victory as strange as ever. How about Kevin Holland? It's a bit of a prospect fight, but it's really fun.

Marvin Vettori – He asked Paulo Costa, and even he admitted that it was a lot to ask. It is. You have not arrived yet and your name is Marvin. It's a big hit against you. But the winner of the Uriah Hall fight against Antonio Carlos Junior in Vancouver would make a lot of sense for him.
