Mike Perry was entering his fight against UFC 255 on Saturday night when an unexpected song started blowing through the speakers.

“Is this [expletive] “Halo?” Perry asked in his corner as they left.

It was indeed Beyoncé’s “Halo” track. Somehow, Perry’s top pick for the walk-up song wasn’t available, so they went with a dreamy slow jam so he could come in.

However, Perry didn’t leave him in phase. He leaned over in the moment and started singing the words along with the song just before the official recorded it. The man agreed, and we should applaud him for it.

Perry ended up losing a decision to Tim Means in their welterweight fight, and I’m not sure whether we should blame Beyoncé for that or not.
