Just hours before the scheduled start of UFC Fight Night on ESPN + 5, one of the most important fights of the preliminary map has been canceled.

The Englishman Tom Breese was looking forward to a fight against his compatriot Ian Heinisch, but medical problems forced him to withdraw from the match the day the fight was to take place.

Heinisch revealed the news via his Instagram account. This was confirmed shortly after by UFC officials.

"For medical reasons, the average weight Tom Breese was forced to withdraw from his program bought against Ian Heinisch. #UFCLondon: TILL against MASVIDAL will continue with 12 fights, the first starting at 1:15 pm-10:15 pm (ETPT), "said a UFC official on Twitter.

Although he was obviously disappointed, Heinisch kindly addressed Breese via his Instagram message, announcing the cancellation of the fight.

"I was 100% physically and mentally ready for tonight, so I worked so hard for this fight. My coaches, my manager, my teammates, my family and my sponsors came to support me throughout the process. Unfortunately, my opponent is currently experiencing health problems and has withdrawn from the fight, "Heinisch wrote.

"Even though I'm so sorry and so mad at him. I know God has a bigger plan and I pray for him to go well. Thanks to all my family, my friends, my sponsors, my manager, my teammates and my coaches I love you all and I'm sorry I can not give a show tonight! Thanks to Mick Maynard (UFC matchmaker) and the UFC for this opportunity. I will be back soon and more ready than ever! "
