UFC Vegas 14 Odds: Latest Betting Lines & Game Guide for ‘Felder vs dos Anjos’

Lightweight contender Paul Felder reminds fight fans he’s more than just a commentator of color this Saturday (November 14, 2020) when he steps in on short notice to take on former 155-pound champion Rafael dos Anjos, in the main event of UFC Vegas 14, which again takes place inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also on the program, a welterweight fight between Abdul Razak Alhassan and Khaos Williams and a middleweight fireworks display between Julian Marquez and Saparbeg Safarov.

We’re a little over a week away from the next pay-per-view (PPV) event; therefore, let’s fund this purchase … and more.

What went wrong at UFC Vegas 13?

This dang Andrei Arlovski had me again. I barely scored his fight for Tanner Boser, but “Bulldozer” just didn’t do enough to make a steal. At least Alexandr Romanov and Darren Elkins limited the damage … rarely anything less.

UFC Vegas 14 odds for the undercard:

Brendan Allen (-110) vs. Sean Strickland (-110)
Miranda Granger (-140) vs. Ashley Yoder (+120)
Alex Morono (-190) vs. Rhys McKee (+165)
Louis Smolka (-130) against Jose Quinonez (+110)
Kanako Murata (-175) against Randa Markos (+155)
Tony Gravely (-150) vs. Geraldo de Freitas (+130)
Don’Tale Mayes (-225) vs. Roque Martinez (+185)

Thoughts: There is a lot more value here than I thought at first glance. I knew Kanako Murata was a quality jump pick, but there is value from Ashley Yoder, Jose Quinonez and Tony Gravely as well.

I would love to think that I got past my obsession with Japanese Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), and you are welcome to review one of my picks from the past two years and see if I have irrationally hypnotized a fighter. Japanese. I say this to clarify that Kanako Murata is, objectively, a beast. No one in the division except Tatiana Suarez has a comparable wrestling pedigree, and we’ve seen Randa Markos tossed around by lesser performers before.

In other words, bet on the champion Invicta.

Yoder is a bit long, but she’s hard to stop, has given real good fighters some real tough fights, and is a grappling specialist who battles a woman who has just been typed. In short, it is not the worst long-shot bet of this weekend.

Getting stopped by Nathaniel Wood and Sean O’Malley doesn’t make Quinonez a bad fighter, just someone who isn’t elite. He has the struggle to keep the fighting standing and the boxing to defeat Louis Smolka while he is there. Add the fact that Smolka did her best job at Flyweight and you’ve got a recipe for upheaval.

It’s worth at least a chance.

My argument for Gravely is similar. He followed Brett Johns – a guy who had only lost to Aljamain Sterling and Pedro Munhoz – in his first UFC fight. He also has a stylistic edge, boasting a far superior wrestling than Geraldo De Freitas and apparently a stand-up edge, making him a worthwhile investment.

UFC Vegas 14 odds for the main card:

Rafael dos Anjos (-175) against Paul Felder (+155)
Abdul Razak Alhassan (-230) vs. Khaos Williams (+190)
Julian Marquez (-280) against Saparbeg Safarov (+240)
Kay Hansen (-220) vs. Cory McKenna (+180)
Eryk Anders (-135) vs. Antonio Arroyo (+115)

Thoughts: Call me nostalgic, but I really like Rafael Dos Anjos here. While his style has proven ineffective against the towering wrestlers lurking atop the welterweight division, it looks like a ticket against Paul Felder. We’ve already seen Felder lose to a massive Brazilian southpaw to Francisco Trinaldo, and dos Anjos will be better prepared for a five-round battle.

A little about Hansen might not hurt either. Although a dangerous submission artist, McKenna is not much of a wrestler, while Hansen excels at it.

Best bets on UFC Vegas 14:

  • Parlay – Kanako Murata and Tony Gravely: bet $ 50 to win $ 81
  • Parlay – Jose Quinonez and Kay Hansen: bet $ 40 to win $ 82
  • Parlay – Ashley Yoder and Rafael dos Anjos: bet $ 30 to win $ 73.80
  • Parlay – Kanako Murata and Kay Hansen: bet $ 30 to win $ 38.70
