UK sales charts: PS5 stock shortages force Sony exclusives out of top 10

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales PS5 PlayStation 5

Sony apparently offers PlayStation 5 consoles to retailers as often as possible; we have seen the wanted systems come in and out of stock a number of times recently. When available, sales of PS5 games skyrocket, but if consoles slip away from consumers, that of course means less software is leaving the shelves. If you take a look at the latest UK physical sales chart, it’s clear we’re in one of those PS5 meltdowns again.

With PS5 running low again, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – a constant seller on the new console – left the top 10, now at number 18. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, meanwhile, left the top 10 completely. the chart, presumably because some of its sales are generated from bundled software. The best-selling PS5 game this time around is F1 2021, which continues its streak in the top spot.

Elsewhere, Tokyo 2020 Olympics: Official video game takes bronze, with 42% of sales going to the PS4 version. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has made a comeback, now in eighth place, down from 12, but it can’t quite overtake the mighty Grand Theft Auto V in seventh.

Here are the latest top 10 physical games in UK.
