Two police officers were shot dead in Cape Cod, according to Massachusetts police.
Patrol, tactical investigation and forensic units respond to Falmouth, Mass., To assist local police in responding to the shooting, said a police spokesman. State at ABC News.
The police officers who were shot were at the Falmouth Police Department and were transported to local hospitals, the spokesman said. The suspect was also shot and taken to hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
A strong police presence was observed on Highway 28 in Falmouth, and two medical helicopters were called to the scene, reported ABC's affiliate Boston, WCVB.
Officers who were shot were responding to a messy call to Seacoast Shores in East Falmouth, according to the local station.
Residents of the area were ordered to shelter, WCVB reported.
