Staffing has been increased and teams are working around the clock, according to Duquesne Light.
4:00 AM THURSDAY UPDATE: More than 11,000 customers are still powerless Thursday morning, according to the Duquesne Light website.
23:30 UPDATE: Duquesne Light says that about 18,000 customers are without electricity after the storm.
10:35 PM UPDATE: Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto says Duquesne Light told him that about 20,000 customers are deprived of electricity after the storm Wednesday

Power outages are reported from Burgettstown to Oakmont, including the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh .
Two July 4 fireworks – Shaler and Monroeville – were canceled as a result of the storm.
