Shridhar Chillal, the state man from Maharashtra, in western India, has finally cut his nails after 66 years. The 82-year-old man holds the Guinness world record for the longest nails ever recorded on one hand.

The man from the city of Pune had been cultivating the nails of his left hand since the age of 14 years. Chillal had decided to grow nails after a teacher got pissed at him for accidentally breaking a very long fingernail. The teacher said that Chillal would not understand the kind of care that was needed not to break a long fingernail unless he did it himself.

Chillal said that he had trouble taking care of the nails as he was very fragile. very cautious when sleeping: "I can not move much, so every half hour I wake up and move my hand to the other side of the bed." He managed to get an overall length of about 29-foot-10-inch before being officially honored by Guinness in November 2014.

On Wednesday, Chillal finally cut his nails and the procedure was taken on camera. The video, which was shared by Guinness World Records, shows that Chillal gets his nails cut with the help of an industrial cutter instead of the usual nail clipper
