A three day manhunt across the Big Island of Hawaii ended Friday after the suspect in the fatal shooting of a Hawaii police officer was killed during a shootout with the police,
33, was killed and an officer was injured during the shooting, said a Hawaii County official to the Associated Press. The injured officer was transported to Hilo Medical Center in a stable state, reports FOX 2.

A 24-hour working group followed the public's advice and other information on waiki's whereabouts. Police said they believed his associates were helping to hide it on the vast island, where the Kilauea volcano has attracted global attention in recent months.
Two Waiki associates were arrested Thursday after an undercover officer approached a suspicious pickup truck with a man. and a woman inside, on the other side of the island from where the shooting took place.
The officer pulled out his gun and ordered the two people to leave the truck. Instead, they fled and the police pursued them.
Kaliloa, 46, was the first officer to be fatally shot in the Big Island. He had been married for 23 years and had three children.
"He was strong, kind, funny, intelligent and chivalrous and served his community every day as an honest and honest policeman whose convictions guided him to always do what was right. Kaliloa's niece, Kawehi Haug, wrote in a Facebook message to AP
