Apple technology worked on some monitors / News / Finance.ua

Apple has released a document that refers to three monitors using True Tone technology. This is the Apple Thunderbolt Display, as well as the LG UltraFine 5K and 4K Monitors

True Tone makes the image on the screen more pleasing to the eyes, quietly adjusting the colors under the Lighting that surrounds you. For example, if you are in a room with a very hot light, the hue of the picture will appear in blue. Apple technology will make the image warmer to compensate for it. If you are sitting in a room with very cold lighting, the function will work in the opposite direction.

Technology tries to make the image on the screen look like a blank sheet of paper under one light or another. This affects the accuracy of color transfer: when the True Tone function is enabled, it is not recommended to edit photos and perform other similar operations. But another feature makes the job more enjoyable for a computer.

Apple noted that True Tone runs on the aforementioned monitors connected to the MacBook Pro. Probably the technology uses the sensors of the laptop itself, so this will not work if the MacBook Pro's cover is closed.

Thereafter, the technology will work on other external screens. Knowing the policy of Apple, we can assume that in this regard the company will be extremely selective.
