Jobbers-Miller joined the Fort Myers Police Department in September 2015.

Jobbers-Miller had the habit of keeping Cynthia Rock's child. Her son is now 14, but when she was pregnant, he tried to get her to name the baby Kal-El, the name of Superman's character before he became Clark Kent.
Rock says Jobbers-Miller was a fan of the Superman series, adding "It's probably why he became a police officer."
In July 2017, Jobbers-Miller and fellow police officers were commended for helping children whose father was killed. When the police arrived at the call, they found Javier Medina, 10, who was pressuring her father's injury with his own shirt.

Affected by the situation, Ashley Schindler, Sarah Gallegos, Melanie Guerrero, Emelia Santos and Jobbers-Miller, Fort Myers police officers, bought and delivered school clothes, toys, sweets and school supplies for the children of Medina.
Wayne Fire Services, New Jersey, show their support, Rock said. Wayne Fire Company No. 2, where Jobbers-Miller and his retired father worked, posted a sign asking the community to pray for him.
"When you're a first-timer in a city, everyone knows who you are," Rock said. "I really hope that it will do it."

John Gabriel, Fire Chief of the Wayne Fire Company No. 2, posted on Jobbers-Miller's job with the group on Facebook.
"Adam debuted here with us, spending his early years as a member of Company 2 at Wayne, with his pop, as he calls it, before moving to Florida a few years ago , and become a cop, "Gabriel posted.
Attempts to reach Gabriel Sunday were unsuccessful.
"The news is cautious, but positive," Gabriel said early Sunday morning. "The next 2 or 3 days will be very critical."
Post Gabriel says Jobbers-Miller was shot in the head and asked for prayers.
"Words can not express the emotions that cross the Fort Myers police family right now," said Fort Myers police chief Derrick Diggs in a statement. "Our department spent the night anticipating anxiously our comrade and colleague who underwent vital surgery."
M. Diggs said the ministry was grateful to so many people and organizations who expressed their support. Police from all over southwestern Florida went to the hospital on Saturday night and Sunday morning, leaving after learning that Jobbers-Miller was out of surgery and in a stable state.
