An asteroid cloud surrounds the Earth

Astronomers have discovered about 18,000 objects close to the Earth within a radius of 195 million kilometers from the Sun, and an average of 40 new ones per week according to NASA ].

The US Aerospace Administration has shown an animation of the number of asteroids and comets around our planet.

The agency noted that since the dimensions of the objects are extremely small, even with standards close to the Earth, which is presented for clarity in the clip.

Scientists at the Livermore National Laboratory are now part of a team that will provide "global protection" . The plans include the development of a spaceship that deflects asteroids that threaten the Earth.

A 9 meter ship weighing nearly 9 tons was named Hypervelocity Astoid Mitigation Mission for Emergency Response Vehicle. It has a modular design that will allow it to serve as a ram of asteroids, but it will also be able to transport nuclear weapons into space bodies.
