Hundreds of people evacuated due to Carr Fire, who spent the night at 83,800 acres Saturday. Most Redding hotels are full, but in and around Redding, several shelters are open for people and pets so that they can find shelter and stay safe during the fire.

Additional evacuations were ordered by officials of Route 299 at Trinity Dam Road, at 39, west of Douglas City. Instead of evacuating to Weaverville Elementary School, authorities now recommend sheltering at Trinity High School in Weaverville

United States The Post Office has temporarily closed four localities that were affected by Carr's fire:

- Legal and Insurance Documents
- Food, Water, Including Pet Food
- Preloaded Appliances, Including Phones, Tablets, Laptops and Extra Chargers

Water Conservation for Firefighters
Helps to conserve water. The City of Redding and the California Drinking Water Division are asking Redding residents to conserve water so firefighters can fight the growing Carr fire. Here's what they advise:
- Turn off your sprinkler and irrigation system
- Do not use water to clean paved surfaces such as streets, driveways, sidewalks, garages, parking areas, tennis courts and patios. 19659011] Do not wash your vehicles.
- Do not use water fountains, artificial waterfalls and reflective pools.
- Do not fill or close your pool.
