The Ukrainian Oscars Committee will begin nominations for the national selection of the film for the August 1st Oscar.
The State Committee of the State Duma of Crimea (19659003) declares: "The candidatures will be accepted from August 1 to 15. During this period, the Committee will hold consultations for the filmmakers", says the communiqué
The Committee's requests will be examined from August 16 to 28.
A meeting of the committee and a press conference will be held on August 29. The nominee for the Oscars of Ukraine has been announced
Derzhkino also pointed out that in the category "Best Foreign Language Film", the candidate tape must meet the following requirements:
1. It must be a feature film, documentary or film. animation (not less than 40 minutes) shot outside the US
2. The band's dominant language should not be English
3. The film must be released for commercial rent from October 1st, 2017 to September 30th, 2018. The lease must last at least oins seven days in a row
4. For the first rental of cinemas, the broadcast of a film nominated on television or on the Internet is prohibited, but a prior participation in festivals is prohibited
