The standard version of the electric sedan destined to compete with the Tesla Model S will go on sale in the next two years, the report says.

The automaker calls Audi e-tron GT "four-door coupe with proportions of the classic Gran Turismo", but this definition should not be misleading – it's rather a sedan proper / liftback with a rounded roof for a more sporty silhouette than the size and dimensions of the cabin.

is 4.96 meters, the wheelbase is 2.90 meters, sh Rina – 1.96 meters, height – 1.38 meters. The case is made from a variety of lightweight materials, including aluminum and carbon fiber, reinforced with high strength steel. During its development, Audi specialists worked closely with Porsche engineers to develop a joint Premium Platform Electric (PPE) project.

The Audi e-tron GT electric motor is equipped with two electric motors located on the front and rear axles, which provide a complete drive. The electronic control system provides separate throttle control for each of the four wheels for improved maneuverability. The total power of steam of electric motors is 590 k. (434 kW), allowing you to accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds and gain 200 km / h in 12 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to electronics at 240 km / h.

The battery with a capacity of 90 kWh is installed in the floor between the front and rear axles, thus offering the lowest possible center of gravity. The fully loaded Audi e-tron GT performs 400 km (248.5 miles) in the WLTP measurement cycle. At the same time, the brand recovery system can increase this figure by an additional 30% if the driver respects the economical driving style. For recovery, electric motors and electro-hydraulic brakes are also responsible for "transforming" some of the energy in the battery at each braking, dropping, descent, and so on.

The battery is capable of operating at high speed with 800 V, gaining 80% charge for 20 minutes of charging – this is enough to cover an additional 320 km. The electric car also supports the Audi Wireless Charging wireless induction system, as well as the usual household charging with 11kW power supplies.

The central panel is executed in a style typical of sports cars. The cockpit is centered on the driver, the control is performed using touch screen touch screens. feedback and physical switches. The entire salon is treated with "vegan" materials, that is to say only synthetic and processed species are used, including fabrics, leather substitute and so on. The volume of the trunk is 450 liters, that of the front of 100 liters.

The production of a commercial version of the Audi e-tron GT will begin at the end of 2020, the sales will start in early 2021, prices are not announced yet, but they will likely be higher than in the first model of the line Audi tron with a price of $ 75,000 and more.

In total, by 2025, Audi will meet avyty 12 fully electric models in all sectors, ranging from compact and ending in full size, and bring their share of their sales to a third. In addition to the sedan and crossover supposed to be familiar to fans of the Avant and Sportback body version.
