The IBU statement states that doping cases were discovered after checking samples taken from athletes from 2012 to 2015.

Yevgeny Ustyugov is a two-time Olympic champion (Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014 ), Svetlana Sliptsova won "gold" at the Vancouver Olympics.

Ustyugov, Slyptsov and Chernyshov have already completed their careers.
