A month ago, MediaTek officially announced the Helio P70 chip. A few days ago, the first smartphone with the latter, Realme U1, was introduced. We have already heard that the company is preparing the release of the Helio P80, which, according to his intellectual abilities, will be one of the best on the market. But the chip maker has another surprise: the Helio P90 and its official presentation will take place on December 13th.
MediaTek positions the new system on the chip as an effective, productive and innovative artificial intelligence, and even promises to "change everything". We find these unique or extraordinary features of the Helio P90 in just two weeks. At this point, the company is limiting itself to noisy statements and to the promise that the first Helio P90-based smartphones will only appear in the second quarter of 2019.
At the level of the rumors according to which the new chip uses big-LITTLE architecture, its configuration includes 8 cores computers, of which four can be Cortex-A75 or Cortex-A76. The transition to a new technological process is not promising. Like the precursors, it uses a 12-nanometer technology. Here as before, the Mali-G72 accelerator will be used as a graphics subsystem and will offer a blocked multicore APU to perform AI operations.
