Gunshots were fired inside the mall after two men engaged in an altercation. One of the men took out a handgun and fired twice at an 18-year-old man. A 12-year-old girl standing nearby was also touched.

Police responded to the scene and spotted Bradford brandishing a gun. Officers shot Bradford and killed him and claimed that the 21 – year – old man was the one who shot the 18 – year – old man.

The authorities later retracted the prosecution and launched a search for the shooter himself.

In his address, Jackson claimed that law enforcement should release gangs that were capturing violence, according to AP.

"We will make the tape public," Jackson said. "We want transparency, not dissimulation, tell the whole story, tell it now, we want justice done, we want fairness now."
