UEFA has announced the creation of the third continental club tournament from 2021

The new tournament will take place under the same scheme as the Champions League and the Europa League. 32 teams will play in the group stage.
Format includes a group stage (eight groups of four teams), 1/8 finals, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
An extra round of playoffs will take place before the 1/8 finals. He will meet the teams that have taken second place in the groups and third places in the Europa League groups.
The new tournament includes 141 matches in 15 days – as in the Europa League. The winner of the new tournament will receive a ticket for the next draw of the Europa League.
The matches will be played on Thursday. Thus, the matches of the Champions League will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and the League of Europe and the new tournament will be played on Thursdays.
The finals of all club tournaments will be held one week – Wednesday (new tournament), Thursday (Europa League) and Saturday. (Champions League).
