Microsoft develops a new browser instead of Edge
The company introduced Edge in 2015 to replace Internet Explorer, which was criticized by users. It was expected that he would become a competitor of other browsers. However, it turned out that its EdgeHTML engine had not managed to compete with analogs on Chromium.
Due to issues with existing browser work, users have abandoned Edge in favor of more reliable options, first of all Google Chrome.
Microsoft has long struggled against the popularity of Chrome: the company even deleted the browser installation program of the Windows 10 shop because of a "rule violation", namely the refusal to use EdgeHTML.
According to the media, Microsoft will present a new browser in the coming weeks.
We remind you that two days ago, Microsoft products – a Skype messenger and a PowerPoint presentation program – received support for automatic subtitles. The company introduced this feature to facilitate communication with the hearing impaired.
