Ukrainian biathlete Yulia Jim received a "gold medal" in an individual event at the Slovenian World Cup competition.
The distance of 15 km biathlonist was crossed for 43 minutes and 6 seconds without error. Jim came in 94th position out of 102 participants and the last Ukrainian
second place being occupied by the representative of Poland Monica Khoinish, the third – the representative of the Czech Republic, Market Davydov.
The race in which the biathletes won was the first in its history this season.
Previously, Jim was individually coached under the direction of Slovenian coach Uros Velepets, separately from the main women's team.
The Ukrainian Elena Pidgrushna took the 15th position, Anastasia Merkushina – 16, Julia Zhuravko – 20 and Vita Semerenko – 41.
On December 2, Ukraine won the first medal bronze of a single mixed biathlon relay race in Slovenia.
In April 2018, it was learned that the coach of the Ukrainian Biathlon Women's Team was taking up her duties.
