President Trump is expected to announce Friday that he has chosen Heather Nauert, spokesman for the State Department and former Fox News host, Tamara Keith of NPR, to become the next ambassador to UN,

If this is confirmed, Nauert will replace Nikki Haley, who is leaving her post at the end of the year.

Nauert was ready to photograph when she arrived at the State Department in April 2017, after working for ABC and Fox. She has never traveled with and was not close to her first department head, former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. With Mike Pompeo at the head of the state, Nauert is on the road a lot more.
