WASHINGTON – Buckle up your belt. It will be a Friday Friday.
Officials and agencies usually use the end of the week as a dump for major information, but today's announcement is grand. Really big.
The survey on Russia should be updated. Former FBI director James Comey testifies before Congress. President Donald Trump should announce a new choice for ambassador to the United Nations.
Investigation updates on Russia include prosecutors explaining why an advocacy agreement with Paul Manafort, former Trump campaign president, were broken, and a memorandum on punishment who could explain what Michael Cohen, the former presidential attorney, told investigators.
Here's all you need to know about what will surely be a crazy day in the nation's capital.
How did Manafort lie?
This was a quick break between Paul Manafort, the former president's campaign chairman, and Mueller's investigators.
After months of attempts to defend himself from charges brought by the Mueller team, Manafort was convicted of eight counts in August in a conspiracy of bank fraud.
Manafort, 69, sentenced to life imprisonment, decides to change the subject and concludes an advocacy agreement with Mueller's team, proposing to cooperate instead of proceeding to a second trial in the District of Columbia.
The special advocate, Robert Mueller, accuses Paul Manafort, former president of the Trump campaign, for violating his plea agreement by repeatedly lying to federal investigators. Eric Tucker from AP explains. (November 27)

In the appeal, Manafort admitted leading a long-time conspiracy involving his work on behalf of a pro-Russian faction in Ukraine led by the country's former president, Viktor Yanukovych. He pleaded guilty to obstructing Mueller's investigation
but this cooperation was short-lived.
Last week, Mueller's team accused Manafort of having repeatedly lied to federal authorities and alleged that the plea agreement had been violated. But the public record did not contain any details about what Manafort would have lied about.
Today, this must be revealed.
Prosecutors in Washington must explain what led to the collapse of the cooperation agreement and likely expose the lies alleged. The filing could include new details in the investigation and topics on which the Mueller team hoped that Manafort would be useful.
Michael Cohen's cooperation with the federal government
The man who had boasted of taking a bullet for Trump is now one of many who have rocked – and on Friday we will likely see the extent of Michael Cohen's cooperation with federal agents.
In August, Cohen pled guilty to violations of campaign financing and financial crimes in New York. He also concluded a separate agreement last week with Mueller's team in which he pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about a draft project for the Trump Tower in Moscow, admitting that the plans had continued until in the 2016 campaign.
