The far north of Georgia receives a winter mix after the morning snow flurries added about half an inch to weekend accumulations, according to Channel 2 Action News.
About 1,800 people are without power in Rabun County, which received 20 cm of snow when a winter storm crossed the northeast corner of the state on Saturday and Sunday. A winter storm warning remains in effect for the counties of Dawson, Lumpkin, Towns, Union and White until noon, according to the National Weather Service. In the surrounding counties, including Hall, a winter storm warning has been in effect until then.
Several counties have reported back to school on Monday morning and Habersham, Pickens, Rabun and White are closed.

The snow and ice stuck on the trees and caused blackouts on Monday morning.
Winter precipitation is expected to continue all morning before rain, said Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton.
"For the Atlanta subway, no snow, no ice, none of that," she said. "It's going to be very cold all day. Cloudy, drizzle at times, your windshield will be wet.
It is not cold enough for precipitation to freeze in the Atlanta subway. Temperatures remain in the top 30 to start the day and will heat up to 40 percent in the afternoon, Minton said.
"We did not come out of the 30s (Sunday)," she said, "but today we will do it."
The temperatures of the road are also above freezing point in the subway. Atlanta, but in some places in the mountains almost to the point of freezing. Minton explained that motorists will have to watch over bridges and viaducts that freeze and that the snow may become icy.
Atlanta employees go just having to deal with the wet pavement. Atlanta will host a victory parade for Atlanta United to celebrate Saturday's MLS Cup win.

The parade begins at 10 am at the intersection of Baker and Peachtree streets and ends at the Home Depot yard near the Mercedes-Benz stadium. The route runs west from Baker Street to Marietta Street to Andrew Young International Blvd. These streets are closed until the parade passes, according to the Atlanta police. It is expected that all streets will be reopened by midday.
Several MARTA bus trips will also be modified because of the parade, according to the transit agency. The routes involved are 26, 40, and 816.

The police are encouraging the spectators to bring MARTA to the Georgia World Congress Center station and leave their backpacks and big bags at home.

The day will be rather wet and disgusting, but (Tuesday) things will improve, "said Minton. "We expect the sun on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the temperatures will reverberate in the 50s."
The rain resumes its forecast Thursday at the end of the day and persists until Friday and part of Saturday, according to the forecasts. Minton said the sky was becoming sunny again with high temperatures in the mid-1950s.
According to the WSB's 24-hour traffic center, the volume is heavy and the roads are wet during the Monday morning commute.
A crash on I-285 in Fulton County adds to the delays of the outer loop, the Traffic Center reported. The wreck blocks a lane heading south left at I-20.
Delays Still Significant After I-75 South reopens at Delk Road . A crash had blocked several central lanes before it was cleared around 7:45, according to the Traffic Center.
The journey from Wade Green Road to I-285 was late 44 minutes before 8 o'clock in the morning.
