Apple released an "intelligent" Beddit rug to monitor sleep

In the spring of 2017, Apple bought the startup Beddit, which specializes in monitoring and improving sleep systems. Since then, the team has nothing to hear when a new tracker, Beddit Sleep Monitor (Model 3.5), has appeared on the Apple Store.

What's interesting?

A carpet only 2 mm thick is placed under a sheet. With its built-in sensors, it monitors sleep time, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature and humidity inside. Beddit Sleep Monitor is also able to recognize snoring. The data is synchronized from the iPhone or the Apple Watch. Beddit Sleep Monitor is compatible with iOS 12 (iPhone 5s or later) smartphones, as well as with Apple Watch smart watches, in addition to daily notes, featuring tips for improving sleep quality, but for as long as you can. It is available in English.

How much does it cost?

Beddit Sleep Monitor can be ordered at 150 euros by an American Apple Store. Among its competitors, the Withings Sleep (formerly Nokia Sleep) at $ 100, which does not support the measurement of temperature / humidity and placed under the mattress. It is able to work with Android devices and supports the management of smart home devices via IFTTT.
