A New Mexico couple faces charges after an unguarded 3-year-old boy accidentally shot his 8-month-old sister in the face on Saturday while the children's mother and her boyfriend were in the shower,
The baby was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.

Nelson told the police that she did not know that the gun was in the room and that she thought she could be it. The last guest of the motel left objects, but another guest told officials to have seen Bitsilly clean the gun after the near fatal shot.
