And they demand its abolition.

Remember that on December 12, the resolution against the North Stream-2, passed by the US House of Representatives. Congress members called for sanctions against Nord Stream 2. They urged the governments of the countries involved in the project to abandon it.

It should be noted that Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic States and the United States are actively opposing North Stream 2. They call on the authorities of the European Union to block this project, claiming that it is a "gas needle" that increases Europe's dependence on energy sources provided by Russia.

In the case of the launch of two gas pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters per year, they would lose $ 2-3 billion in revenues from the transit of blue fuel via its SMT, which represents 3% of GDP. The commissioning of the North Stream-2, worth 9.5 billion euros, is scheduled for late 2019.
