US Special Representative Kurt Volcker called the powerful signal of the EU's decision to extend economic sanctions against Russia by six months.
The US Special Representative called on Russia to take seriously the implementation of the Minsk Treaties. The corresponding statement was posted on his Twitter.

To add that on December 13, the President of the European Council Donald Tusk declared the continuation of economic sanctions against Russia . He argued that the Minsk agreements had not progressed in the EU.

It should be noted that the current list of sanctions includes about 200 Russian citizens and organizations engaged in various activities in Crimea and in the fake "DNR" and "LNR".
