Three dead while a small plane crashes into a park northwest of Atlanta

A small plane crashed into a park in northwestern Atlanta, killing three people on board, officials at the Atlanta Fire Department said.

The Cessna 560 sank on Thursday at 12:40. at English Park, near I-285 on Bolton Road and about two miles from Fulton County Airport, FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen confirmed to AJC.com

Bergen has confirmed the presence of three people. Their identity has not been unveiled.

"The FAA is investigating," said Bergen. "We will update the available information."

Channel 2 Action News reported that the flight had taken off from Fulton County Airport. He appears to have departed for Memphis, Tennessee

The crew members are also looking for possible injury neighborhoods caused by the accident.

A fire chief in Atlanta told the press that not one of them was taken to the hospital.

A video on a mobile phone sent to channel 2 shows flames emitting black smoke in a green park.

Atlanta police also responded to a "call from a light aircraft," spokesman Spokesman Jarius Daugherty said.
