It was a partnership created by necessity: Ann Coulter, commentator and provocateur of the extreme right, and Donald Trump, star of reality TV and democratic icon become republican.

And for a moment, it seemed like it was working. Trump praised Coulter's books and support on Twitter. Coulter returned the favor, calling Trump "emperor god" and titling a recent book "In Trump We Trust".

Their goal is common: build the wall on the southern border with Mexico, promised by Trump. his presidential campaign.

But Coulter was one of the many voices of the far right who made it clear that his support depended on Trump's ability to keep his campaign commitment. It is unclear where it stands during Trump's election campaign for Mexico to pay for the wall.

This week, Trump canceled Coulter's follow-up on Twitter, according to an automated account that tracks changes to the Trump family's Twitter accounts.
