A thick layer of ice was discovered by a spacecraft in the Queen crater on Mars
The Mars Express automatic probe photographed a crater filled with ice on Mars. The photo was published on December 20th by the European Space Agency (ESA).
Specifies that the photo of the Queen Crater, of a length of 82 km, was taken in April 2018.
The high resolution stereocamer was used for the photo.
The agency emphasizes this point in the center. The crater is a "thick layer of ice".
