A former FBI agent who accidentally shot a man during a backflip at a bar in Denver avoided prison after agreeing
Chase Bishop, 30, admitted to being assaulted at the third degree and was sentenced to two years of unattended probation.
Bishop was on leave when he was filmed dropping his gun while he was dancing.
The video of the incident became viral on social media and led to his arrest.
"We believe this agreement strikes the right balance between seeking justice for the victim and ensuring that this type of incident will not happen again," prosecutor Beth McCann said in a statement.
The statement adds that Bishop was no longer employed by the FBI.
