After spending most of the year assembling for gun control throughout the country, the survivor of mass shootings David Hogg announced his intention to patronize a prestigious university in the fall.
Hogg tweeted Saturday what he was going to. Harvard University and was to specialize in political science next year. In response, Hogg tweeted a list of companies publishing in Ingraham's show, "The Ingraham Angle," inviting people to pressure them to shoot commercials. More than a dozen companies – including Nutrish, Hulu and Johnson & Johnson, pet food brands, have announced that they were removing their commercials from its show.
Ingraham then apologized to Hogg and praised his GPA. Hogg, who had refused an offer to attend the University of California, Irvine was skeptical about the apology.
"She apologized only after pursuing her advertisers," Hogg told The New York Times on time. "It speaks pretty well for himself."
In the middle Hogg's chaos, then aged 17, used his camera phone to film the event and interrogate other students, while he was hiding from the gunman in a crowded classroom.
He came out of the shooting as a prominent activist, helping to organize the March for Our Lives demonstrations while focusing on gun control and, later, forcing young people to vote.
Hogg has since appeared on national news channels and has spoken at rallies across the country. In March, he and fellow student activists were on the cover of Time magazine for reinvigorating a political movement against gun violence.
