NASA announced that a data collection tool on the planet's nucleus had been launched on Mars.

The NASA InSight aircraft deployed its first instrument on Mars, installing a seismometer on the surface of the planet. This was the site of NASA on December 19th.

This is the first time that a spacecraft automatically installs a seismometer on a surface of another planet.

InSight project manager Tom Hoffman said the Mars machine's pace was better than expected.

"The safe location of a seismometer on Earth is a wonderful Christmas present," he said.

InSight plans to deploy a thermal probe on Mars to collect data on the planet's core. According to scientists, the first results of studying the surface of the planet will be about a year.

InSight principal investigator, Bruce Banerdt, said the deployment of the seismometer is as important as the landing of the aircraft on Mars.

The Mars InSight Auto Station module launched on March 5 May On November 26, it landed on the surface of the planet. On December 7th, the probe recorded a wind noise on Mars.
