White House Acting Chief of Staff Mick Mick Mulvaney said Sunday that President Trump and himself recently joked that Mulvaney called the president "a terrible human being" .
Mulvaney told ABC's Jon Karl that Trump and he had "talked" about Mulvaney's 2016 clip stating that the Trump-era nominee was "absolutely not" a model for his sons.

"Of course," said Mulvaney. "We joked about it last night."
"What's wrong with Washington, people spend a lot more time looking at what people are saying instead of what they do," said Mulvaney, adding that his "actions" showed that he was "fighting" for the president.
"He likes to see me and I like to work for him," Mulvaney said.
The Daily Beast reported earlier this week that Mulvaney had described Trump as a "terrible human being" during a debate in South Carolina in 2016.
