Xiaomi figures in the Guinness Book of Records with the largest animated mosaic of mobile phones. Instead of a boring wall mural, the Chinese company has laid out a giant Christmas tree made from 1005 new Mi Play smartphones. The height of the building is almost 8 meters.

According to co-founder and president Xiaomi Lei Jun (Lei Jun), the preparation of the record took two weeks. They had to not only connect all the peripherals, but also get a full synchronization of the image, as even a 0.04 second delay would be visible to the naked eye. The fir tree was placed in one of the Beijing shopping centers. Its construction began at 4am on December 24th. The work was completed only until four o'clock local time.

Smartphones also distributed Internet visitors, creating the largest access point in Beijing on Catholic Christmas Eve. As we have already said, in China, Xiaomi Mi Play comes with a monthly fee of 10 GB for the year following the purchase.

It is interesting to note that Asus has built a wall with +1139 ZenFone 5 smartphones in the summer and could well claim the world record. Although Xiaomi has come out more original.
