SAN JOSE – Authorities reported that one person had died and another was taken to hospital after a shooting involving an officer, according to authorities.
This shooting occurred at approximately 2:25 am on Leigh Avenue at Fruitdale Avenue. Injured, San Jose police lieutenant Enrique Garcia said

And a tweet from An NBC reporter from the Bay Area said a witness had seen a vehicle collide with a patrol vehicle before gunfire sounded.
