SAN FRANCISCO – The authorities are suing the man suspected of killing a police officer who had stopped his truck in a small California town.
Ronil Singh, 33, was shot dead Wednesday after intercepting a van without a license. a license plate at Newman, about 160 km southeast of San Francisco.
The truck was found later, but the gunman is on the run.
Authorities say that surveillance photos were taken at a convenience store shortly before the attack. the suspect, a heavy man with short black hair wearing a collar, a t-shirt and a dark colored jacket
The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department stated that the California Police Department and the State had been alerted.
Singh was a native. from Fiji who joined the Newman Police Force in 2011. He is survived by a wife and a young son.
