KTLA anchor, Chris Burrous, dies after being unconscious in a motel room "CBS Los Angeles

GLENDALE (CBSLA) – Chris Burrous, an anchor of the KTLA 5 weekend weekend, was found unconscious in a motel room in Glendale on Thursday afternoon and was declared dead in a hospital sector.

Police received a call around 1:15 pm after a man who said that a man with whom he was at the Days Inn, located at 450 Pioneer Drive, had fainted and did not breathe, according to Sgt. Dan Suttles from Glendale Police Department

Glendale firefighters responded to the scene and found Burrous, 43, in a room and was not breathing, Suttles said. The CP was administered and he was taken to a hospital where he died

According to the initial police appeal, Burrous may have taken an overdose, but detectives will wait for the county coroner's report Los Angeles to determine the cause of death, Suttles said.
