According to local authorities, the explosion occurred on the road and not on the bus itself

There is currently no mention of the nationality of tourists. However, we know that one of the dead was an Egyptian.

According to the BBC, in general, the bus was made up of 14 Vietnamese tourists. And the explosion was laid in the wall of the pyramid. In addition, according to the service, only two Vietnamese tourists are dead and two Egyptians (driver and guide) among the wounded.

It should be noted that the Egyptian authorities struggled with Islamist militants in the Sinai Peninsula for many years. Sometimes this confrontation takes place on the continent in the form of militant attacks against those who profess Christianity and foreign tourists. However, this is the first attack launched in almost two years.
