The suspect, who was wearing a red hooded sweater, escaped into a red truck, said Gonzalez. He has been described as forty years old and a beard, Razo said.

The reason for the shooting was not immediately known.

Homicide detectives roamed the area and checked the surveillance video for clues.

He urged the suspect to surrender.
